Hemingway M. B. Lee Middle School’s Future Business Leaders of America members attended conference

The Hemingway M. B. Lee Middle School’s Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) members attended the District III Leadership Conference at West Florence High School in Florence on February 7. Students participated in various workshops and competitions.

The following members placed in these competitive events:

Johnovan Barkers, first place in introduction to computers

Carlos Cooper, second place in Future Business Leaders of America facts

Sasha Gibson, second place in career exploration

Eriel Greene, fourth place in public speaking

Andreyous Lewis, fifth place in keyboarding facts

Dominic McCrea, fifth place in keyboarding application 1

DaKayla Priest, third place in introduction to computers

Courtney Smith, first place in keyboarding fundamentals

These students will compete at the state level in Charleston from March 20 to March 21.

Mrs. Quintina McKnight is the adviser and business education teacher for the school’s chapter, and Anthony Cameron and Janet Dollard are co-advisers.
